Below is a great short, educational video by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission discussing how to “haze” or in common terms deter coyotes from your property. In many cases coyotes in urban areas will learn to tolerate humans instead of just fleeing. Because of this the term hazing coyotes is the process of disturbing an animal’s sense of security, without harming them, so it leaves an area or otherwise changes its behavior.
